To mark International Champagne Day, Olfactory Department joined Beechmont Estate and the iconic Champagne House Veuve Clicquot for a celebration of craftsmanship, considered design and the finer details that make an experience extraordinary.

For the occasion, we created a limited-edition fragrance designed to capture the spirit of the celebration.

Recently, I spent a few days exploring the Gold Coast Hinterland — from rainforest bathing at SOL, to long conversations over amaro at Loborn, a stay amongst the clouds at Beechmont Estate, and a sunrise floating above the landscape in a hot air balloon.

What struck me wasn’t any one experience. It was the feeling they collectively created.

The pace. The atmosphere. The details that quietly shape how we remember a place.

In hospitality, the most powerful experiences are rarely created by one single element. They’re built through a collection of moments — the music, the service, the surroundings, the textures, the scents — each playing their part without demanding attention.
