A Celebration of Scent: Bespoke Candles for Veuve Clicquot at Beechmont Estate

To mark International Champagne Day, Olfactory Department joined Beechmont Estate and the iconic Champagne House Veuve Clicquot for a celebration of craftsmanship, considered design and the finer details that make an experience extraordinary.
For the occasion, we created a limited-edition bespoke candle - Sun Field - a nostalgic ode to sun drenched days and endless green fields. Lovers, bicycles and picnics. The warmth of the afternoon sun on your skin, a gentle breeze carrying notes of aldehydes and spice, softened by jasmine and orange flower, with a whisper of young patchouli.
Inspired by Veuve Clicquot's unmistakable visual identity, each candle was presented in a decorative woven basket, with natural fibres intertwined with vibrant orange detailing — a subtle yet playful reference to the Champagne House's signature colour.
The contrast between the organic woven texture and bold orange accents created a vessel that felt both contemporary and timeless.
More than a decorative detail, the basket became part of the experience itself, transforming a scented candle into a considered object to be enjoyed long after the last glass of Champagne.
